Why the USA still is "the land of opportunity" to foreigners

There are a lot of people who dream of moving to the United States. The reason for this is that they view it as being the land of opportunity. This used to just be taken for granted but in recent years a lot of people have doubted whether or not this is still the case. For the most part the USA is still the land of opportunity; it just takes more work to take advantage of those opportunities.

Immigration USA

The other reason that the US is the land of opportunity is that it is far easier to start a business than it is in most other countries. Many new immigrants come to the US in order to start their own business. Admittedly this is often because of necessity as the result of the prejudices that they encounter in the job hunt. Whatever the reason there is far less red tape in starting a business than there is in most places and being the largest economy there is also the best chance to grow your business and see it become a success.

Another reason that it is easier to start a business in the US than almost anywhere else is that it is very easy to get money for the business. The United States is a country of entrepreneurs, people are used to lending money to people who want to start a business or investing in that business. In fact starting your own business is generally viewed as a good thing which is not the case in most other countries. The result is that you find that you can raise startup capital much more easily.

Another big attraction for immigrants to the United States is the very high standard of living. The average American earns far more than people in most other countries and lives a lifestyle that would be impossible in most other countries. This is really what attracts most people, when you hear about the American dream this is usually what people are talking about. They see the way that Americans live, particularly on television and decide that they want the same lifestyle. Even if most people don't live the way they do on television it is almost always an improvement over the life they had in their own country.
